Here

Went to look at this today. They have not got round to valeting/prepping as yet and even then it looked pretty tidy. No apparant rust, engine bay looked clean (without the clean look that says it has been cleaned for the occasion!) only slight kerbing to the wheels (well, previous owner was female after all...) and interior pretty good. All in all, it looks very good. On at £3741 with 106K on the clock.

What do people think? The panoramic roof/17" wheels are not mentioned in the VIN checker data card - why would that be?

P.S. SuzyCute does not like the aluminum trim - how difficult and how much (ballpark) to change it?

I think you will always want that extra cylinder that the 270 has.

Not sure how much getting rid of the aluminium trim would cost. Not a scoob either about the pano roof :dk:

I have driven a couple of the 220Ds and they are not to be sniffed at, not a patch on the 270 though. There will always be a hankering after that 270 engine though.

Sounds like a pretty decent spec to me and the 220 is a good engine,
Interior trim change would be very expensive if bought from a dealer. I don't think it's too bad to change so maybe a second hand trim from a breaker?
No idea why the pan roof etc isn't displayed as you can't after market fit it??

Keep the CLK, and convert to lpg if running costs for fuel are too high.

Running costs are pretty good actually - 36-40 mpg. I'm just a bloke! lol

I think the price is a bit high for an 02 car

Just seen this one too

Lower mileage, similar spec (no Parktronic but has CD changer) -at £4295 I feel it is overpriced? Reckon £3995 is worth a punt?

It certainly is worth the punt. There is a Merc Specialist in Warrington too, blowed if I can remember the name. You could run it round there for a once over on your test drive!!

Edit.

Here they are.

A bit far for a test drive to Ian's and back.

Edit II

5 Miles between the garages!!

They never offered the 270 CDi in the W203 C-Class coupe John, just the saloon and estate.

I thought the Coupe was classed as a 4 seater, due to the fact that there are only 2 seat belts in the back, but it's advertised as a 5 seater??? :dk:

What are the regulations on this?

Just something you may need to take into consideration.
