this has to redcuce the retained value at 3 yrs

Can't be bad...you get your battery replaced FOC.
On a seriuos note...it must be annoying to have to visit the dealer once again.....

Still find it staggering that people expect something with over 100,000 components not to have a few things that need sorting. In fact its amazing the cars don't have faults which are so serious they need to be taken off the road. Most faults are just fixed at your next service, and you probably never even knew.

Look at this way, bet those who've ever brought a new house never found it perfect and that takes far less people, investment, parts etc compared to a car...

New battery FOC - sounds pretty damm good to me.

I did not mind this particular recall at all as got a brand new battery worth £100 BUT the monkeys scratchced my immaculate engine cover in the process. It took them an hr to change the battery too - well car was parked inside w/shop for an hour anyway first thing in the morning.
