It says in my audio supplement manual that USBs can only be read when formatted as FAT. After looking through many threads on here, I see that most people manage to get FAT32 working just fine. Do I need to update my firmware?

You could try a different USB drive (I assume that is what you mean by USBs?)

I've tried 3 usb flash drives already. The only one I could get to work was a 2gb formatted in FAT. Seems kind of odd that it wouldn't support anything but FAT considering it's only 3 years old.

You probably need a firmware update. My NTG2.5 reads FAT32 (only tried 32gb so far).

Thanks for the reply.

Any chance there is a link to another thread or guide somewhere that can show me how to do this? and do I need to pay for this upgrade or is it just a matter of a downloading the firmware and applying via usb/disc?

(Sorry, I'm a bit of a Merc newbie)

As far as I know, you'll need a dealer or specialist to do it for you. There's a TIPS document that should make a dealer do it for free, if you're out of warranty. Have a look at the FAQS on mercupgrades.com [emoji106]
