Oh, shit - It's the first time I've read something where it has made me happy
for by my first diesel car ie wear glove (I keep some in the car)

Im' glad I rarely handle money as it's almost always our cc's.

Not surprised seeing some of the BS coming out of some ICE drivers mouths on the EV thread. 😂

(This is a joke)

Just use the thin plastic gloves that are often available out of the top of the nearby bins at practically every fuel filling station?

If extra worried, carry a cheap box of disposable gloves in the boot for the odd occasion the garage has run out of free gloves?

I work with laid on the Piss soaked floorboard of OAP bathrooms replacing the beefy old Shitters. Not really concerned about it. Just think of whats on the inside handle of the Gents next time you are in there.

I see brown stuff on the light switches in some of the houses i work in, i bet its not Scrumble!

Put the glove on for the pump, what about everything else you touch, kiosk handle, coffee machine, fridge door, i do carry a small squirty sanitizer around and sometimes remember to use it.

I’m sorry, Daily Mail, but it’s unlikely to be worse than anything public that’s seldom thoroughly cleaned.

Fast food places, schools, buses, pubs …..

I've stopped looking and always car a few in the centre console
I rarely use cash and the newish plastic notes appear to be cleaner but before that, the
paper notes, you needed gloves to touch them

I often carry a hand sanitiser on me - a habit I picked up when I worked and visited peoples homes to assess them and a spare pair of shoes etc.

I’ve always used the gloves provided - not so much about picking up germs as you can pick them up anywhere and everywhere - more about avoiding getting fuel, grease and dirt first on my hands, then on my clothes, seats, steering wheel, etc. Most petrol stations don’t have a toilet so there’s nowhere go wash your hands if you need to.

Most banknotes have traces of cocaine on them.

Well documented, well studied Last I heard it was three out of four US dollar bills.

One of several reasons you should never, ever, put a Dollar bill in your mouth.

.

So in summary, having an EV is better for you

The end

Yes, I know they need filing up and the same is likely to be on their 'pumps', "but why let facts ruin a good headline" -unquote, the Daily Wail!

I can’t believe it but 3 hours after I wrote this ⬆️ I charged an EV at a public charger and my daughter had used the gloves and not replaced them. Then 15 hours after I wrote this I filled up an ICE and the service station had no gloves - and neither did I. I can’t remember the last time that happened!
