Legally they can't do that....unless they can prove the fault was a direct result of Ghost. So if, for example, you had a suspension issue they could not refuse it because you had a Ghost.

Not sure I understand why removing an aftermarket immobiliser would invalidate a warranty.

I had a ghost installed on my M135i and then when I sold it, had it removed.

Considering whether to get it reinstalled on the new love of my life.

It's not just at home they get nicked, supermarkets are more than a place to buy food etc and the ghost will stop that.

I'd have it reinstalled.
Any extra security is good in my book.

Steering wheel lock as a deterrent and ghost. If she'll go in our alarmed garage with a car infront perfect.

I take the engine start button out and use the key as an extra security feature alongside the ghost

Doesn’t make a difference took my C63 start button out and you can turn and start it with your finger if the car can see the key

I had zero issues with it on my Beemer.

It does provide peace of mind when I'm out and about.

I left the Ghost on my C43 when I traded it in, just handed over all the documentation and reset the code to something simple. It was a first gen Ghost, otherwise I would have had it removed and put in my new car. I've had a gen 2 Ghost fitted in the M340i. Simply would not be without it in such expensive cars.

You need to look at the cost of transferring it though - some companies will charge the same as for initial installation which is a rip off!

Mines Ghost 2 I did ask about transferring it prior to installation can’t remember the price but It actually wasn’t bad, probably depends on the installer.
