How come BMW only gave you a 3 month warranty. Normally its 12 months. Sounds like its the car you really wanted from your original post. A 525d is c.£180bhp, for that sort of power you're needing a 270cdi, or any 6 clyinder MB. A 220cdi and 525d isn't a fair comparison in the MBs defence.

Just to be fair, the facelifted E220cdi has 170 bhp and is a really fine engine IMO.

However the 525d facelift is also uprated to 3.0l with 192bhp i think.
the facelift e220 would cost a lot more than an earlier version 525d.
Seen a e220 facelift 56 go 15k at auction.

forgot the new 220cdi, but from the OP's 1st post it sounded as if he was after a "six". I am still pleased with my 150bhp one and now with 45k on it she feels a little looser and lunges forward with more enthusiasm.
