I work for ITV and our Producer who makes Used Car Roadshow is looking for people to get involved: -

We are looking for members of the public to star in the show as ‘Buyer of the Week’. Do you know anyone who is looking to buy a new USED car? Maybe you know someone who would like to star in our new strand called ‘Auction Fever’ to bag the a real bargain?

Or would you like to be part of our live studio audience? We’ll provide lunch and keep you entertained all day, plus there will be the chance for one lucky audience member to win £100!

Over seven million second hand cars a year are sold in Britain, and the Used Car Roadshow is the only television programme dedicated to this huge market. With a brand new format to the show we hope to encapsulate fun and excitement as well as finding you the perfect car at bargain prices!

Contact Janine Barnes on 0113 284 9183 or email [email protected]. Or see the website by clicking here http://www.usedcarroadshow.co.uk/

For goodness sake Bill - there is life beyond the south you know!

Actually, I thought the south was there to buy New cars so us 'oop north could then have Used cars?

are you guys going to have one of those premium rate phone polls on the show?

i know ITV do those the best. :D

lol - even you ventured North of Watford once - and we have the evidence to prove it ;)

I went to Preston ONCE to a IBW organised GTG.

Never forgoet trying to communicate with those Glaswegian members. Didn't understand a word. Not a single word.

Anyway, caught out, back on topic.

I figured most of Used Car Road Show was all staged - certainly the bit where the fat bloke calls someone on his mobile and does a deal. If that bit is staged why not the whole thing?

Well, all I can say is, is that I got the thread moving at least. It sat for 3 hours with nothing, then got 9 in 40 minutes........

.......at least I'm good for something..... :) lol.

Don't get me wrong Pammy, I love driving, it's just that I, and I appologise about this, detest driving any distance in this country.

I mean, I catch the Ferry to Santander just so I can drive to Porto, (800kms) and enjoy every moment of it.

It's got nothing to do with going 'up north', or people from there, so I'm sorry if I offended, it wasn't intended. :)

Just rung them up, spoken to a very nice lady and it appears that stardom beckons.

Assuming my loan comes through in time I will be attending Leeds, all expenses* paid, next Weds for the auction!

Terribly excited, fingers crossed...

:bannana: :bannana: :bannana:

*They have refused to actually buy the car for me though, which I feel a little churlish in the circumstances...

Most pleasing to hear that the show is coming back again:bannana:

It is excellent entertainment, often educational & bereft of the sniping
unhappily present in other so called car programmes.

And you get to see a handsome chap like me displaying my silky driving skills in "Buyer of the week". I'll keep you all posted....

Carrotchomper - Any chance you can ask Penny for a signed photo for me please?? There's something about her I like!!

Your wish is my command! Assuming I'm not too star-struck I'll ask her! Personally I'm looking forward to a good blokey car chat with Jason over a pint!!:bannana:

There is definitely something about women on car programmes. I'll probably get slated for this, but Vicky Butler-Henderson? Nice. And for that matter, not a car programme, but Sarah Beeny does have a certain twinkle in her eye!

Anyway, the hardest thing I have to do now is keep my hands in my pocket and not buy anything at auction/otherwise before next weekend. Not the easiest task with a large amount of cleared funds in my bank account winking at me...

But rest assured BD, I will do my best for the photo...

Cheers CC!!
