Used Merc inspection in Bolton

Hi all
Does anyone know who I could use to check a 210 over in Bolton

The reason is I've left a Deposit on a 99v E300TD while the number plate transfer goes through, but they are continuing to use it, the car is 75 miles away (and the history wasn't great).

So I thought it would make sense to get it checked before I travel through on the train and find out, its been damaged or gone wrong in the mean time.

What if they crash it , or the engine explodes ?

If you've left them a deposit , they should stop using it. You've said you want it , so it's sold.

Only a deposit has been paid - not payment in full. I would consider the car still mine (and use it) until full payment is made. Someone isnt going to start getting the train etc to work just because someone has put down a deposit. All a deposit is for is to take it off sale IMO..... for all the seller knows the buyer could never show up to pay/collect. Once full payment is made, then yes i agree i would garage it and not use it. This is what i did when i sold my last car.

Thats exactly what I did, we agreed on the same price as his P/X (he then got extra money off his new car), he'll use it to get to work in until the plate transfer goes through, then he'll pick up his new car and I'll pick the Merc up.
Obviously should it have suffered anything in the mean time I won't buy it, I just thought it may be worth paying someone to check before I set out on the train to pick it up
