Used Tax Disc........only £500!!!

I have just been on ebay and found a modern UK Tax Disc which you could have for a buy it now price of £500, but did not sell for some reason when the auction ended.
Do people actually buy these for big money?????

Tax discs bought just before the cut off date when DVLA started sending out tax on a bit of plain paper and a note to explain are worth the most.

I don't know, it's a piece of British motoring history I suppose. I'll probably tell my kids one day, that in the olden days, we used to have to prove we were taxed with circular piece of paper in the bottom left corner of the window... Oh how they'll chuckle...
