So I found my W202 on a dealer site... but there's no mention in the advert of it's Cat C status, which is on the V5 as "previously damaged and repaired, inspected 11 Oct 2011 .......

Should there be ?.....anyone want to call the dealer (innocently and ask) for me ? .....I also seem to recall the mileage was 126800 when I sold her.....

AFAIK they're not obliged to state in the advert that it's Cat C, but they do have to tell any potential buyer.

If your going to clock a car why only reduce the mileage by 1,800 miles.

That's just the usual dealer process of knocking down the mileage to something round for the ad. So at the other end of the mileage scale for instance, they'd advertise a 12,995 mile car as 12,000 miles.

fair enough if it is normal practise.......I always round UP, so it is less than stated.......

For £750 who would really care, it looks a good car for that money.
