Does anyone know which registry entries I need to set in WinXP to have a default user/domain name and password popup in dialogue boxes that ask for a username and password.

For example, I want the following to appear in the username and password box when mapping a drive;

username; users.domain.uk\user1
password; 123test

Or better still have these values set in the registry so that they never need to be typed in again!

Any help greatly appreciated.

Not a registry entry, but you could try the following in "start run". If it works OK then just run it as a script to map your drive. The script could be kept on your desktop or set as a logon script.

net use driveletter: \\servername\sharename 123test /USER:users.domain.uk\user1

Yep I was using something very very similar. However, this user is very demanding and want these things to appear in the box for him!!!!!

The world would be a simpler place without users!
