That’s true of any fast car though, including AMG. They make no sense.

Precisely my point; it's a heart purchase, not a head purchase. My old banger E500 was both, I'm lucky enough to be able to say.

Regarding that Brabus CLS, I'd not let its time with Motorhub put me off. With that much power, it's hardly likely to have been thrashed, is it? If I wanted it, I'd have it thoroughly checked over by two experts, one an MB specialist tech and the other a bodyshop tech, and if they both gave it a clean bill of health, test drive it and make an offer. I can't see the current seller objecting to having it checked out, though I suspect Motorhub might have.
