No - Comand NTG1 does not support 7 digit postcodes and considering it's age will probably never support them.

I've just installed v11 in mine, having updated the firmware a month or two back. I've not used the car since installing v11, so does anyone know if this would have overwritten the firmware update please?

On NTG1 The map disk contains firmware for the Navigation processor only. Head unit updates are done from the DVD drive that is part of the Head Unit. The other control units (AGW, phone controller, etc) are done via Star Diagnosis, sometimes with additional special equipment.

On NTG2 the drive in the headunit is used for Navigation processor, so the map disk contains navigation processor and head unit firmware.

Thanks Richard. Naively, I've never really thought of the nav processor as being much more than a dvd reader, but the more I read about COMAND, the more I shudder at the complexity!
