V2 Renntech Lowering Module Deal

Just received my unit, with remote (purchased unused from another forum member)

Now just need some poor bugger to fit it for me!! Any offers?

Regards

To those that have fitted it, did you get the Hazet tools? Or are size 0 and 00 flat screwdrivers sufficient?

Hi all, if anyone has one of these (and can promise that it'll work with a W220 airmatic!) let me know, I promise I'm not one of those dodgy Internet people, despite my lowly post count. I've just ordered lowering links, but for this price the module could very well be a goer for me.

Cheers!

Okdokie - just for clarification I need to purchase a separate remote as I don't think they were part of the group buy?

How much are those remotes? I can't find them for sale anywhere !

Finally had my lowering module fitted today (thanks to Olly, Graham & Jack at PCS). Car looked great when I picked it up totally slammed, but not how I want it generally!!! I need to play with settings a bit, but think somewhere about 15 - 20mm lower all round will look about right. One thing that is a bit disappointing though is that I understood I could set it to raise back to standard ride height at set speeds!? When I go into settings it won't seem to let me do anything with the speed settings. I did then read in the manual that speed settings are not available for certain cars? Is that the case on the 211 E55? If so I'm a bit gutted as was just hoping it would just look good at low speeds then raise back for comfort etc when driving.

I think you have to enable advanced settings although I am not 100% on V2, the best overall look for the E55 is what Carlsson recommend which is -19mm fronts and -16mm rears

Hi Simon popped into see olly this morning as your unit was being fitted, spotted something in your boot that i've just ordered:D.

Back to the unit, same as mine no speed settings available, however i do not mind as i can set it up to look the part stood still, turn it off before moving revert to factory ride heights means no worries about camber issues and tyre wear, what do you mean by low speeds LOL:D

Thanks Paul - I will have a play with it. I drove home with it on max dropped settings but felt a bit conspicuous! I didn't look at the instructions as had the missus with me so didn't want to make too much of it as she doesn't even know I've had it modded:D

The settings you have said above sound about right, I thought that was in the region you told me before, is that what you have yours set at? Your car sits well, but then your wheels help!

Hi Ginger - my car looked just like the picture you posted of yours when I picked it up. I guess I will probably just do the same as you have suggested I just had it in mind I could set it to automatically adjust at set speeds which would be handy.

Yes - I found any lower for driving around town a pain.

Mine is the V3 which allows 4 named profiles to be saved, I have

Stock - zero lowering
Carlsson - its on this most of the time -19 and -16 lifts to stock at 25 mph
VMax - Renntech's -22 and -19 setting but with no lift at any speed
Show - slammed at -40 and -35 lifts at 15 mph

Cheers Paul - all sounds good, maybe there is a difference as yours is the V3, but I did read on the mb world forum some time back that the V2 allowed similar speed related settings on an E55. I haven't spent much time on it so will have a play with it to see.

When I bought this a few months ago I planned to fit it myself. But after a few months I still haven't had a free weekend (well I did but it was pouring down) to do it and it's unlikely I would be able to do it any time soon.

So, can anyone recommend an installer that can fit it for me for a reasonable price in the North West please?

Thanks.
