Anyone have any experience of cleaning the breathers on the M112 V6s?

Car has done 130K now - and I was wondering about removing the breather covers and giving them a good clean. Been reading some benzworld and mbworld posts suggesting it's actually a good idea to remove the cam covers as well and clean the whole lot off the car (makes it easier to clean the top of the cam cover without having to worry about muck falling in). Also this would be a good chance to see how clean the valve train is - whislt I've changed the oil at 6K intervals prevoius servicing was done at the full Assyst intervals of up to 13K so I've always had sludge at the back of my mind.

Anyway any thoughts appreciated.

Had my breather pipes of recently for acces to the injectors and they were all clean, looking down the injector holes at the inlet valves and they were almost spotless with a very slight bit of carbon here and there, nothing to worry about.

Only thing i would look at is, are the pipes going hard and ready to split as some of mine are going hard.

Dont forget the yanks are paranoid about emissions and their smog tests.

Now on 105k
