Can anyone recommend a DIY quality vacuum pump for brake bleeding? Also, am I correct in assuming that the reservoir is simply kept topped up after each brake is done ie. no additional reservoir is screwed on to the main reservoir as with the eezibleed kits?

Cheers.

Thanks for the link. I already have a pressure kit, but there are no suitable reservoir caps available for my current car, so I thought I'd try a vacuum kit.

Do you mean without someone else pumping the brake pedal? I need this to be a 1 man job.

Brake fluid should just run out when the bleed nipple is open.

I've used one way bleed nipples in the past with success. Goodridge amongst others make them. I've also used a piece of small bore rubber pipe/snug fit over the nipple end, plug the opposite end and cut a small 'slit', say 6mm length in the pipe, approx. 200mm along the pipe/250mm total pipe length. Worked perfectly for me at the time.

Currently use the ezibleed kit which uses a tyre to supply pressure (will need the correct cap for the car's resevoir (it would be feasable to drill a hole in the car's cap for the bleed pipe and plug after with a rubber grommet)
