Vacuum R107 1982 SL 380

Hi Guys,

I have noticed on my 1982 380 SL RHD a small 4mm Vacuum pipe disconnected in the engine bay by the bulkhead it's clear with a blue line on each side could anyone tell me where it should connect too?? EGR??

If you take a picture where it start, someone might be able to tell you where it ends.

Unfortunately that generation of BENZ used lots of vacuum operated components, door locking , aircon/heater flaps gas tank ventilation distributor advance retard , fuel injection etc etc . Colour coding can't be relied on to identify function as it may simply refer to the nature of the tubing [ possibly replaced from original] bore,wall thickness etc As Al suggests try to see where it comes from. First check- see if there's a vacuum present at the end with the engine running- that's probably something you don't want- a vacuum/ manifold leak !
