Hi
While I love my CLS (Bought in Nov 2010) I am experiencing various things which I think may be problems, can someone please help to tell me if I am being paranoid or if these issues really are problems.
1) Ok so I went over a curb at around 5mph in Dec and then whenever I have driven since then the car didn't feel as stable. I thought maybe I was imagining things as the car was generally fine. I then drove on the M25 during Jan and the potholes were a nightmare, went over one and then found at above 55mph the steering wheel shakes. Took the car to the tyre shop which found one of my front alloys (passenger side) were dented, had that replaced. Car ran smoother. Before this it felt is if the back of the car wobbled occasionally. Tyre shop were not that helpful in that they were busy and said no need to align back wheels as most likely front wheel was causing issue.
So I went back on the Motorway and whilst it was much smoother, I felt the vibration still (although not as much) coming from the back passenger side. The back of the car wasn't swaying. Although, when windy on the motorway car still did not feel as stable - I had driven on the motorway when first purchased and it felt perfect.
When I am driving in town car feels fine (as I guess due to slower speeds), however the other day I think I could feel the back swaying yet again.
Don't know whether this is an issue with the car or the awful roads we currently have?
2) I have recently noticed the car jump. What I mean by this is when slowing down to park, or when at traffic lights the movements are very abrupt. Normally, when I accelerate rapidly the initial kick pushes me back into my seat (something I love) but surely this should not happen when I am slowing down or moving away at slow speeds in traffic (when the car is in D).
I have some time off work coming up and will be investigating then, but would really appreciate any words of advice from you guys telling me if I am over complicating things or if these sound like serious problems.
Many thanks in advance.
