Just did a vehicle check on DVLC for tax and MOT and it came back with .... ‘Vehicle details could not be found’ how can this be, is it a suspect car?

Could be going through a plate transfer

Or someone does not want it tracked and pinned dummy old plate on.

No this is and old 51 plate Vauxhall Astra

People do have private plates on old cars... the owner may have just removed the private plate and reverted to the original plate.

Dont know why people post a question on the forum and never help us to help them . With car reg one of us could have check it out .

Ok bit of an update.
Car was involved in an accident at the top of the road last week (I was away at that time) no one hurt but apparently it ran into a parked car and the driver later claimed not to be the driver [emoji15]
Anyway a pic

It's not unheard of for a genuine car to not show up on there.

I've seen it now and again.

I always try the MOT history site as well which usually does the figures:

Check the MOT history of a vehicle

In this case, the car comes back seemingly correct from the registration.

Car does not check out on AskMID so it's not insured so shouldn't be on the public road.

Might explain why the driver conveniently has amnesia.

A young lad turns up about 11pm every evening and backs his car right up to it and parks for the night, they are parked so close you couldn’t get a fag paper between the cars.
This is why I noticed it in the first place.
