Veneer clean

Anyone have any tips on cleaning the lacquered veneer on the dash and bringing it up to a high polish? Thanks.

It's the lacquered wood trim.

IIRC when wheeler dealers refurbed a g wagen with wood trim, they had it sanded down and relaquered and repolished. I guess it depnds how badly scratched it is or delaminating.

There is no scratching it just wants a good shine. After using the glass polish as advised, followed by a waxing it looks great. Thanks.
