Hello everyone

Second post of mine with second problem....
So......let me describe it..... at 30mph i can hear noise coming from kind of between the seats. like a whining noise or so booing.... hard to describe it. driving faster than 30mph its getting quieter....then returns at around 52mph and is loud again until 75mph....its as loud to the point that conversation in the cab is impossible. I am suspecting prop shaft.....
Can anyone help with this?

Dropping the prop isn't too difficult.
Mark the prop ends and gearbox and diff couplings with white paint or similar to be sure it goes back as removed.

Look at the uj's for clickyness, but I would suspect the bearing. Replace with Febi Bilstein.

If the prop is generally in poor condition you might replace the whole from Titan.

Thanks for that.
Can you elaborate on poor condition ......
If I get new pop shaft how this will go to the van if I won't have markings or you talking about markings from gearbox in relations to diff?
I drove today and the whining and bit of vibrations is noticeable at 30mph

Matching the prop to original marks has been talked of intensively to keep balance, but I'm with you that a balanced prop should be good either way. But why chance it?

Worn bearings are obviously sloppy.
Worn uj's not so obvious but can be tight, a tad clicky isn't really a problem.

I did fit a titan where the prop didn't feel obviously bad, it improved things.
I've an ex long Titan shaft here that made no difference so I refitted the original after 5k miles pre sale.

Chasing vibes on these can be exhausting, and sometime changing just to eliminate can save time and is worth the dosh. At least you have noise to point you in a direction, I've found that to be rare.

When you did fit the titan prop did you make up the gear box and diff?? Also does this have like a rubber mount between prop and gearbox and another one at the back between prop and diff....

No rubber mounts.
Me no comprende other question.
Prop removed from a Vito when sold in Sept 2017, it was the gearbox causing a vibe on that one.

I was asking did you mark the gearbox and diff when you fit the new prop.
If it was a gearbox in your case how did it reveal itself....

No I didn't mark, but would if I remove the present shaft, it's too easy not to.

From purchase at 290k miles or so it had a rev hunt with gentle vibes that developed.

Over 3 years I and a specialist changed mounts twice, brakes attended to, TC refurbed, other bits.
I lost confidence in the specialist for good reason.
I replaced the prop. All that was left was the auto box and the Vito couldn't justify the cost.

3 yrs, 35k miles, I sold for £5 less than I bought it for.

I see.... Mine sits at 132k miles, no. Problems with revs, or how the gearbox operates. Just that vibration at 30 to 32 mph and another at 55 to 70mph

Hello everyone. Today I discovered that going 30mph with foot on the gas it whines like crazy, if I take foot off it stops.

Hi everyone. Today local mb specialist told me that the humming notice at 30mph and then 50+ is down to tourqe converter.... Then gearbox specialist told me that it can't be because if that fails the gearbox will Judder. So today I had this on a ramp and discovered that the output shaft has play. Please refer to the photo. There is no leaks. Uv joints seems OK, same as prop shaft bearings. Can this bearing-seal be changed without taking gearbox apart??
