Was going to replace the bonnet badge on the Viano but on looking there is no access under the badge. I assume that it is glued on. The embossing is very shallow and the blue is rubbing off.

Funny, I want to do this as well but there doesn't appear to be a "How To.." the badge I have appears to have pins and apparently just "pushes on, into three ribber locating holes".. dunno, I've yet to find out as I can't get the old one off..

I have one I bought for my old W168, but used a different type in the end.
It's brand new, sealed in a plastic bag with a very pretty holographic seal :)
    57mm for W639.
    Please PM me, if interested.

Interesting - if that's the case then a hard plastic lever with a bit of protection for the paint would no doubt get it of. The model badge on the boot lid of my 450 is fixed like that and gentle levering works fine. I thought that it must be like the rear badges which are all stuck on.

There's a white envelope icon and "Inbox" next to it - nearly at the top of the page on the right-hand side.

I sent you a PM (it's called Conversation now) :) with a photo of the badge.

Alternatively, you can email me on davig.glk @ mail.com (not gmail, just mail)

Tried this using "official" body trim panel removers and that didn't work either.. :-(

I used this simple contraption to remove the original badge on my A200 - it was fixed with two pins and nylon inserts in the bonnet - I fitted the new style black badge, looks much better on a black car, I think.

Yup the badge on my 2007 Vito bonnet (same part) is pretty much completely silver now. The cheapest genuine M-B replacement I've seen is over £30, which seems a bit steep for a badge!

No adhesive on these its on two pins that push into two plastic plugs in the bonnet.

Yes it does the replacement standing star for my 450SE from Mercedes was only £32.
