My first post in this group as I've only just invested in a 2014 Viano 2.2 CDI. It's a spectacular piece of kit with so much potential for my large family and I.
I'm having trouble with the rear parking sensors. Unfortunately I identify the fault before I bought the van, so I'm a bit peeved off about it.
The front parking sensors are working fine, display lights up on key switch, two Amber leds when below 15mph, Amber leds increase with approach, alarms when red leds illuminate.
The rear though, do not illuminate up on key switch, I can't hear any clicking/ticking from the sensors. I removed the rear display to check and found a previous fix was bodged. The three wiring-loom wires are badly spliced into extender wires and a new connector to the display was ill fitted. The three wires I have are:
blue/green+13.5Vdc (pos)
grey/brown0V (neg)
black/green(assuming data)
As the repair was so bad I don't know which pins of the display these wires go to as the splices fell apart in my hand. Can someone advise further, with diagrams or pics.
The front display is now alarming with two red leds each side of the display too, since the rear display wires fell apart in my hands.
I don't where to go with this now. Where do I look to fix this? Any advice and guidance would be very gratefully appreciated.
