I've brought a removable table pole kit and wanted to ask how others have fitted the floor plate.

I have a 57 plate viano with the rear seat rails system with six seats in the back. How is the rail system constructed it's obviously a sub floor about 4-5 inches off the van floor. It is that an empty void in the floor centre? What's it made of plywood, metal? Can I safely screw down into it?

Any advice is welcome.

Not sure what you mean. Ours has a movable folding table which runs in the central rail. As it says it can be slid the length of the vehicle and if required easily removed. Our Viano has the 4 individual seats in the rear and the table will move through the two rows if required. Not sure either what the floor structure is as it is covered with fitted carpet. The Vito we used to have had a resin bonded floor which some forum members have fitted seats by routing out the floor to expose the metal body and fitting the rails from usually the Travel or Dualiner. I suppose you can screw into the bonded floor but it is not that thick before you hit metal so care would be needed.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have the one that fits the rails it's an after market camper removable table kit. You have to screw a plate down to the floor that a pole screws into. The problem is I don't know what is under the centre of the floor (between the rails) and what type of material it is.

I have never seen what is under the carpet but looking at the interior of the rails and what is the floor of the Vito it would be only 18/20mm thick before the metal floor of the body. I guess you could screw in to it or in fact drill right through and put a bolt in.
