Viano, very loud roof rattling

I occasionally drive a 2011 Viano (Trend 2.2) for work, and whenever I take it to 70mph (and a little bit above), a horrendous rattling sound comes from the front of the roof (where the sunroof would be, if equipped). It sounds almost like a slapping sound of the aerial in the wind... except there is no visible aerial on the roof.

Either that or it sounds like the roof is sagging and then buffeting and flopping up and down where it's just one large piece of bodywork.

Its very irritating to say the least!

Anybody have an idea what it could be?

Could the roof rails be loose?

Can only think along similar lines to Bill, the ariel amplifier is directly above the Overhead control panel & there isn't much more up there as far as I'm aware. Could it be a panel not fitted as it should cause the roof lining is fitted on like a velcro fastening that has one half on the roof & the other on the lining. They need a firm thump to attach them. Worth a try.

Found the cause! It was the thick rubber seal around the top of the windscreen flapping around.
