Vibrating/Humming while driving (stops when turning right)

ok guys need some help...

since ive owned the car (merc 190 2.3 16v) its had a bad humming / vibrating while driving, getting worse at speed, it sounds like its coming from the driver side front wheel, however while turning right at a point the humming stops and the car drives dead quiet with no vibrations as it should.

ive had the tracking done so its not that, however when i replaced the track rods arms (putting hte tracking out a bit more probably) it stopped these symptoms and only happened while turning left... but since ive had them re-aligned again its started again, only stopping while turning left.

it gets more noticeable the faster i drive and hums/vibrates the whole car to the point where the images in the view view mirrors are distorted..

note ive had the WHOLE car sound deadened so it shouldn't be vibrating anywhere near this much...

at a certain speed (around 40-50) its almost like a drone in and out.

the wheels are oz operas and have the correct bolts and O rings, with brand new tyres and properly balanned and as previously mentioned its been aligned correctly.

i know the diff has a whine but its way too loud to be that. esp as it stops while turning.

any ideas?

so far ive had suggestions such as wheel bearings/propshaft/half link shafts.

can anyone shed any more light on this as to what its most likly to be and how to go about getting it resolved (pref by myself) as i have most of the tools to do it

Engine mounts. (have you still got that turbo kit?)

ahh yes that was mentioned too...

sold the turbo m8 (hense the 16ver :P), just gave your garage a call actually lol.

ill take a look at the engine mounts tonight, what exactly should i be looking foor? contact with the engine? worn mounts?

The mounts drop when old hence the engine drops down and then rubs on somthing when steering turned.

You spoke to Jack and I was stood next to him!

ahh, thanks ill take a look at that then :)

im skint this month but if it doesnt get fixed by the end of next month expect to see the car in your garage at some point lol :P

ill post back my findings tonight if i finished work on time :)

some more info...

when i got my tracking/wheels aligned there was 2 issues which couldn't be done properly.. which were the following..

Front Left Caster @ 10*11' (should be 10*25' - 11*25')
Rear Total Toe @ 0*12' (should be 0*15' - 0*35')

where * = degree

does this verify anything?

hmm done some digging and ive come to the conclusion its most likely the front right wheel bearing, will be going for a spin tonight to confirm this

Bearing (s) or disk (s)
