I have a W211 with the 722.6 5 speed auto and it is vibrating quite heavily and noisily down the driveline when slowing to a stop. It almost feels like a handbrake has been pulled with very rusty lumpy brakes. It's not brake related though because it doesn't do it in neutral. I am talking speeds 5mph to 0mph and goes away nearly entirely when the car has warmed up. It feels a bit like the box is not disengaging fully and therefore trying to drive forward and vibrates, or perhaps another description would be if it was a manual a bit like you haven't put the clutch down early enough and it causing vibration.

It had a full gearbox rebuild and new torque converter 6 months ago as well as a new radiator. I am not sure if it related to that?

There are no other gearbox issues e.g. no shudder when changing gear.

Any ideas?
