Is that a GSX1400? That's the same bike my Dads had from brand new.

Some great cars there, I bet you were in your element....

I'm not really a classic car Buff, but it's more of a social evening..the BBQ's are going and the bars are open...

It's not like a regular car show, everyone wants to talk about their cars and let you sit in them and start them up...there are no signs saying keep off the paintwork and they all just have a good time really.

Looks like great fun. An amazing turnout.

Nice to see a couple of local cars there too - ex-staff got the Nobles??

Difficult to tell from the photo, but are those pukka touring car replicas or an embarrassing half-attempt?

I don't think the Nobles are Ex-staff, the Guy with the silver one was just a regular owner.

In amongst all the cars I didn't even notice the replica cars, but think it's unlikely they are just Barry'd out cars..that doesn't go down well there..

That Wartburg had been a Taxi in the German Replublic for 10 years before being liberated...and it's unrestored...

Mercedes could learn a thing or two about build quality there...;)

This has the making for a mini forum turn out....

The lad "from Scotland with a beard" can come down to England and loot the BBQ.

As thats what would happen to it, the drink pilliaged and the food looted!!!

Respect to the Wartburg owner!

Excellent pics; that Willys M38A1 would do for me. Drove one for a few years in the late fifties. No trouble but did 16mpg.

If you didn`t thrash it.

Ashby Folville meet got stopped by the Police and it has been pretty quiet for evening car meets, but now we have another one started up.

It's not big yet and most of the cars are not that special...yet, but it's a nice evening out.

I went along on Tuesday. I was late arriving and didn't get the camera out until too late and quite a number had left, but...

Looks like a nice gathering. Would put a fiver on the Cortina being a GL. Earned my spends helping to cleaning the neighbour's Cortina many, many moons ago.

I knew it was a GL before walking over to it...a 2.0 no less.

There was plenty of other stuff, 1950's jags, Bentley Turbo, more Ferrari's.

My grandfather had a 2.0GL which was a nice car, bought to replace the V6 Ghia I got for him which was stolen and never seen again. :(

That looks lovely. The car's not bad either.

What's this car?

It belong to a mate of mine. It's a replica of a 1936 Auburn Boatail Speedster. It's a very lovely car. He also owns the C2 Corvette convertible featured on Wheeler Dealers last year.
