VIN from numberplate

Hi all,

I'm sure that, in the recent past, I found a site which would give the vehicle's VIN from the numberplate. However, I can't find it now - ring any bells with anyone?

If its a Merc I use:

www.mercedes-benzwarranty.co.uk/Login/Index

Drop in the reg and it should give you the VIN then drop the VIN in the Mercedes Vin Decoder here:

www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Mercedes-benz

In fact, I've just discovered (by accidentally entering the wrong numberplate) that www.mercedes-benzwarranty.co.uk/Login/Index works for any vehicle, not just Mercs!

Make sure you don't leave a space in the reg number

Good find, works on my Mb and non-MB

Seems very similar to the Audi one before it stopped working.
