VIN from Reg No - Can Anybody Help?

I'm interested in another MB, but the ad's rather confused, and seller doesn't really know all that much about it, and flatly refuses to give me the VIN. It's a fair way away, and I don't want to go and see it just to find it's not quite what I want. Is there anyone on here who could obtain the VIN for me from the VRM? Please PM me if so; if the seller's that paranoid, I don't want to put it on here for all to see.

initially I was searching for someone to help me with the vin but now that I’m on here I’ve been reading all sorts of threads, I guess till I look like a more legit account I won’t be taken serious

Why not? Serious question; what is the downside?

Same as Classifieds, its to stop people signing up, getting the VIN details never to be seen from again.
