Hmmmm. Was at 10ms/9.9MB yesterday (same hardware) so must be local to me then. Tried rebooting mode and router. Of course the Virgin website says there are no problems
You havn't fallen victim to Virgins TRAFFIC SHAPING have you. If you exceed certain download/ upload limits they chop your speed down to 2.5mbytes/sec for the next 5 hours. It would appear Preston is a Virgin "trial area " at the moment which might not help either. Traffic management trial - Help - Virgin Media Keep an eye on things in case your limits are not being lifted automatically.
p.s. by the look of it all restrictions should be lifted at 11pm
