viscous fan

going to remove viscous fan hub next weekend on my 1999 e430.
1. is it a 36mm spanner i need to remove it
2. is a left hand thread

well fitted a new viscous fan and changed the water pump as the bearing was shot. easy job once i got the fan off (right handed thread not let handed).put new spheres on the self leveling suspension now drives like
a dream:bannana:
