Visit workshop in white.

Just like to know if anyone has experienced anything similar.

I don't use my car very often ( petrol 2006 W219 CLS )

Whilst taking the car to a body shop to satisfy my OCD this morning randomly this message appeared on the dash ' visit workshop' in white no bing noise.The car drives perfectly fine, airmatic fine, all convenience functions fine.

I arrived at the body shop around 10 miles away, turned the car on and off and the message disappeared. No weird noises, driving as it should.

I only do around 4/500 miles a year in the car it's garaged on a trickle charger. Sad but it's my garage queen.!

I was thinking maybe the wet roads as I dont use the car in wet weather may have upset something. Bit baffled.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

** it had a major service at MB about 18 months ago and has only covered 800 miles since. No work needed mentioned. The car has full MB history.

I would ignore for the time being; you may not see the message again.

If you get repeat messages you will of course have to do as the message advises but for my money find a reputable dedicated MB specialist for such ''between servicing'' events.

Thanks for the reply MicB, the car is going to be in the body shop for 7 to 10 days so if I do have a repeat message, thinking about it I will call mobilo out and see if it's thrown any error codes and go from there.
