Vito 111 CDI long 2005 abs & and wheel with arrows illuminated help please

Hi All, was driving the other day and both abs and wheel with arrows illuminated and just after they lite up i now have as if its metal on metal when bracking and can feel it through the brake pedal but not all the time I've had a quick check of pads and discs for scoring but they look good Can anyone give me some advice on where to go next Thanks

How low are the pads?
Is the friction material still intact on all?
Are your wear sensors down or with broken wiring?

Low pads will usually cause more noise as the sintered metal comes in to contact with the disc.

Old pads can have the friction material come off.

Old sensors even if not worn down can lose contact, check for closed circuit by unplugging, checking wiring and testing with a dvm.
