Vito 59 111 limp mode

Hi All, I am having a problem with my van going into limp mode (it's happened 5 times in the last 7 months). I paid £400 for a new MAF from a Merc specialist 5 weeks ago but its gone into limp mode again. So the problem can't be with the MAF. Anyone had a similar problem? What was it in the end? I've paid over £550 to the garage now and feeling frustrated and poor! Any advise will be gratefully received.

Can be almost anything you really need a Star diagnostic. Had it happen to me whenever accelerated too hard. The diagnostic said that it was a leak in the air inlet causing "excessive boost". All that needed was tightening up and cured. If you don't have access to one they are about £85 at a dealer and an independent might be cheaper.

Get the car put on diagnostic , Throwing parts at it right and left wont wont solve the problem and will cost you a fortune.
Preferably find a garage with Mercedes star diagnostic , Usually 1/2 hr labour rate , and then take it from there.
