hi looking for new operating cables for side doors. only come with comp. door motor ass. from merc at £524+vat. they look similar to m/bike brake cables with special ends

Thats unusual for Merc to make them part of the motor and really expensive to buy LoL.
what you may be able to do is contact DELPHI who make the actual units for Mercedes and they may have a considerably cheaper option available to you .
Or failing that a breakers might be your only option. If you do find one with the electric doors on it at a breakers , grab as much as you can as they are rare. I have some of the parts to convert mine to electric but still need some bits for the eventual conversion. Always on the look out for parts to do mine .
If you find a breakers with a fitted set of doors give me a shout .
