vito seat covers and armrest

lm on to my second pair of faux sheep skin seat covers, and find it hard to fit them on with the (captains arm rest ) cloth trim seats. This time around l wish to purchase some quality covers but cant get my head around do l cut a hole for the arm rest or remove .. how have others dealt with this ?

Mine has a zip around the back and small velcro pads where the armrest fits, it make a nice tidy job.
