MB are trying to tell me that my 12 month old Vito with only 8000 miles on the clock may need servicing because the ASSYST says so. Four weeks ago it said 8,500 miles until next service.
Somebody else at MB says ignore it and bring it back when it's done 15,000 miles.
Now they're e-mailing Germany to find out if my warranty will still be valid if i don't have it serviced!
Anybody had the same problem?

-9. as in 9 days past it's due service. It doesn't show a mileage countdown anymore. It beeps every time i start up and it's getting annoying.

It looks like then that the service is sadly really 'due' and part of the warranty wording states that if the servicing reminders are overlooked, (you have 28 days to get it done), or other warning messages from the operating system are ignored then the warranty is null and void.

Looking at your avatar, please excuse me but I'm guessing here, mobile cafe/sandwich type of buisness?, maybe lots of short stops and starts degrading the oil has accelerated this situation.

Chances are its 'only' service A, about £200.00 or so  .

Portzy

PS forgot to add, the ASSYST can go from xxxxx's miles to days overnight. Mine went from 'service A due in 8500 miles' to 'service B due in 28 days' over the space of a weekend.
