Hi guys, I need some help!
I've got a 2011 Vito 113 who's windscreen wipers won't turn off. They are currently controlled by removing the fuse when it's sunny and pulling over to put it back in when it rains.
I've replaced the SAM unit, indicator stalk and wiper mechanism. Still no joy.
I think I've been looking in the wrong place though, the windshield washers are stuck on, every time the ignition is turned on the pump will activate for around 10 seconds then switch off. This happens every time regardless of whether the fuse is in for the wipers.
I can't find any details of which fuse is for the washers, I can disconnect the cable to the pump but the wipers still go constantly.
So my new theory is the SAM is receiving a constant on signal for the washers. I've looked at the wiring diagrams and the EPC but can't figure out where the signal would come from or how the SAM is connected to the wiper stalk.
Any help much appreciated, It's been an ongoing project and I'm determined to get to the bottom of it!
Thanks,
Ben
