Yes. That's how it should look. 2 or 3 fingers.
Bilstein 37-279998 is the aftermarket part for OE A2123212704Taken off the strut assembly today. Trying to find part number A2123212704 if anyone could find one, that would be brilliant. Better still a cheaper part is possible or even available. Thanks.
£350.00 per spring so far I've found.

I looked at that, it had to many coils it just didn't look right. The part numbers corresponded but I did t want to chance it. Plus can only order it pairs at autodoc. Coils, brakes parts can only be purchased in pairs from autodoc. That Bilstein spring did look different got to say.Bilstein 37-279998 is the aftermarket part for OE A2123212704
What have you increased the ride height by?New springs on both front, NSF has new shock absorber, OSF was ok.
"Shouting from the roof tops", TORQUED up and ready to go
Test driven, felt spot on.
I haven't tape measured it just yet, but visually looking I couldn't get 3 fingers in before, so definitely 30/40 mm. I will tape it one the days to actually see. But all showered up now and fed up of looking at cars for a few hours. What have you increased the ride height by?
I can't answer your issue to be honest. What I do know is the springs I replaced on the e250 and the e63 were totally different in how they compressed. The e63 were no shorter than the e250's, if anything the spring I fitted to the e63 was a longer spring, but definitely harder to compress. Which makes sense with how the suspension works on the e63. I also have a visible gap on both vehicles, from bottom of wheel arch to top of tyre. No unsavory noises on either vehicle now, since I replaced the springs on both vehicles.Im watching this one with much interest as I think i was unknowingly miss sold some very low springs which I fitted a couple of years ago. They give no visible clearance at all between the arch and tyre and are harsh and noisy over bumps.
Im now finally looking to do the job again with standard height springs for 677 avantgarde/amg sport in order to restore ride height
