To my untutored eye, an impressive low mileage (18,000) car which is estimated at around £20k.

The rear partition could be a useful thing in this Covid era.

Leather (or tex?) in the front and velour for the VIP in the back.

Compare with todays idea of luxury. Wall to wall Quilted leather. I think they had it right in the 70's.

W109's had leather seats and door panels (never vinyl) or the more expensive wool velour. The partition is a super rare option.
This car needs a/c
Thanks for that little gem of W109 knowledge.

I suspected the front seats were leather from the near 50 tear old patina. MB Tex would probably have still looked like new seeing as the stuff is nigh on indestructible.

Definitely. Given the nature of the beast, I was surprised that those seats hadn't been detailed / renovated.
Makes you wonder what the car would look like after a day or two's serious work.

Those front seats look great to me. The leather on these cars was super thick. Almost like a leather belt with only the surface painted. Newer leather is vat dyed and does not show cracks in the paint as obviously.

That looks lovely, and perfect for when the kids argue on long journeys.
