Hi guys just purchased my first MB a W114 2.2 with only 10k on the clock, I have had a passion for this car for many years, still can't believe I own one but my god do I have my work cut out, well cutting the rust away Will start a build thread very soon and thanks for adding me to the group.

I presume it is a LWB 220.6 then if it is a W114 ?
The more common 220/8 being a 4 cylinder was a W115 ; normally only the LWB wedding/funeral cars got the six in that displacement .
Anyway , welcome to the forum , there are a few others with the 'New Generation' series cars and a couple of ongoing restoration threads .
I learned to drive and passed my test in a W115 , back in the day when they were current , and had a few of both 115 and 114 models .
