Hi folks,
Couple of Q's I was hoping you might be able to help me with...
1) I found a blue vaccum line under each front seat yesterday, I connected them up to the corresponding connectors in the seats (might help my vaccum probs elsewhere e.g. locks + cold starting).. so Question is... how do I test the locks are working? Is it just a matter of starting the car and ensuring they are locked, then switching it off and ensuring they are then unlocked?
2) Both rear windows were bad when I got the car, I took out the seat and removed the side panels on the inside. I found one had broken in the usual spot (missing washer), so I drilled it out and replaced with a nut + bolt. The other side was working BUT.. the bottom of the slider rail that the window slides up and down on has dettached from the "floor" inside the rear quarter panel... its due to rust that had been badly fixed previously... I've given it a good does of Krust + waxoyl now to stop it, but how will I reattach the bottom of the slider? JBWeld or ... ?
Any help appreciated!
Steve

q1). The seats should lock with engine on and both doors closed. They will unlock by pressing the button or opening the door. I ended up replacing two actuators and a length of pipe in my car, which invloved taking the driver's seat to pieces, so be prepared. The seat locks are not connected to the central locking or cold starting as far as I'm aware.

q2). I had the same problem in my previous coupe but I never managed to solve it. I suspect the only solution would be to weld in a new plate.
