Mercedes 230E W123 1980
Hi, I'm in the process of restoring a 1980 W123 which has black interior trim. The car has been updated with electric front windows (switches mounted on centre console) which is fine except that it now has door cards with an unsightly hole where the manual winder was. Can anyone help me with laying my hands on a set of black MBtex front door cards that were for electric windows.

You could try a cap of appropriate size that covers the hole on the door cards. That was how it was on my early W124 with dealer fitted front electric windows.

If you have access to the EPC it would tell you if MB has any stock although they keep very little trim these days. If not you could try through Mercedes-Benz of Poole who specialise in classic parts. Failing that 123 World who restore the 123 and seem to know everything about them. There is always the breakers like Mercman in Cornwall who have a huge stock of MB spares but the chances of a specific colour are not good.

Thanks guys!
I'm interested to see the W124 cap, i wonder if it had an official MB part number?! I'd be interested in seeing a pic if anyone can help? :)

Sorry no pic, but it looks like the cap might have been part of the electric window retro-fit kit A 124 720 14 46.

Breakers might be your best bet, but really it is simply a textured tight push-fit round cover, slightly larger than the the hole. In your case as your door trim is black, there's no colour match involved. Black rubber bung perhaps as a temporary measure till you find the right part?

ok thanks for your help
