Evening All again,

I've recently changed the dash panels on the old girl from plastic to wood. All good. It's just I wondered if the switches for the rear wiper, wash, interior light etc should light up? There appears to be a lead there for them but when I turn the lights on nothing lights up with the exception of the rear heated screen that goes yellow when I flick that on.

Same with the heater dials. One one lights up the other two don't. Bulbs changed obviously... Do they just deteriorate over time?

Any advice gratefully received....

Mike

For the centre console there is one single bulb behind the heater controls. From this fibre optic wires go to each switch to illuminate them. They have probably come adrift.

If none of the backlights work then its the rheostat on the back of the instrument cluster.

For the actual heater dials, they have individual bulbs, if one works they should all work. remove and refit the bulbs checking that the pins are making good contact? The tiny wires on the base of the bulbs can get bent out of shape.

There are no backlights on the main headlamp switch.
