The heater blower on my 123 estate is noisy as hell. I want to replace it out. But I'm damned if I can spot it.

I see nothing that looks anything like the drawing in the manual.

Help gratefully received.

If I have the orientation right (you are looking from the front footwell back towards the cabin) the heater fan lives forward (ie towards the front of the car) behind that squarish panel in the lower left toward the centre of the bottom of the photo.

Cheers. I think I've found it. Quite a sod to get to!

Ok. Got the heater out. Doesn't spin freely at all. Suspect it needs replacing but there's no part number on the black outer casing. On the blower it is marked as a Behr part and there is a number (90.413.00.887). And looking at the part it seems to have the same connections as the aftermarket parts out there...Just not in exactly the same places.

Is part number 1238201642 still a valid compatible replacement part or am I looking for a different motor altogether? IMG_20161231_145646770.jpgIMG_20161231_143406622.jpg
