driving myself into meltdown trying to source exhaust pipes
My car is a 1980 w123 280E saloon.I went through this last year too...I managed to replace the whole exhaust with a new rear box, a good condition mid box, struggled for the two front downpipes and had to settle for a really old set from mercman, they looked older than the car and didn't last long before both started blowing.
so here I am again, 4 solid days of searching has left me confused to say the least.
original part no's are:
mercedes 123490 45 19 & 123 490 46 19, but then also show as 123 490 42 19 & 123 43 19....is there a difference?and which one should use?
similar with bosal part no's
728059 & 778059...or..727059 &777059
eberspachers part no's;
2367676 & 2367675
advice badly needed.. would obviously prefer new originals both same make, but would it be ok to have one pipe eberspacher and the other bosal?? and does anyone know who supplies.
the one place I have found both pipes are onlineautomotive, but their reviews from customers have set all the alarm bells ringing...has anyone had any dealings with them?
