My w123 has a Bendix master cylinder with no apparent bleed nipple. I bled all the calipers twice but it is still soft so next step is the master cylinder check.
How do you bleed the master cylinder without removing it from the car?
Failing all else, is it possible to bleed the calipers a few times to remove any bubbles that might be in the MC?

Thanks

When you bleed the system it should remove any air from master...

The Masters on W123's are known to be a common failure.

Remembering to keep the fluid topped right up at all times during the bleed. This is because there is an internal cill in the tank which empties very quickly when bleeding the rears and can inadvertently introduce air into the system.

Do master cylinders have bleed nipples? The 123 must be similar to the 116 so make sure the reservoir is full and start bleeding the system from the rear offside (RHD) making sure no air is drawn back in when the pedal is released. Then the rear nearside, front nearside and finally the front offside all the time topping up the reservoir.

Haynes says the w123 has nipples but they are wrong. Most don't
