Hallo everyone, i need a technical information: on a 5 speed manual 300D the propshaft is shorter as the gearbox is longer than a 4 speed gearbox. the propshaft is in 2 parts, the front part who is attached to the gearbox and the rear one who is attached to the differential and also includes the central bearing, can somebody tell me if on a 5 speed is the front part who is shorter or the rear part? Or both?, Does anyone know the exact measures of one and the other part? Does anyone have a propshaft for a 5 speed for sale preferably in UK? Thanks, cheers.

Its likely the central differential mount position is going to be the same in both models implying the front section on the 5 speed will be shorter. Why not get the existing propshaft rebuilt by a specialist?

The problem is that the existing propshaft (rear section) was stolen, and I am trying to find out if it's the same length as the one in the 4 speed version, that way would be much easyer to find a used one, but some one told me both sections are shorter but i would like to be 100% sure of that.
