Looking online, keep finding them located abroad. Prices, are about £25, for a grommet🙄 Annoyingly mine vanished inside, I assume the floor pan is double skinned?
It was just visible at one point, instead of grabbing it with thin nosed pliers, I poked it further in with a finger.
Anyone know where I can get one at a more realistic price? Or am I being optimistic?

Do you know the part number.

I ask because we wanted W124 differential filler/drain bolts and saw eBay ripoffs at nearly 30€.

My son went to MB and got them for about 3€ each after his discount.

Worthe a try.

It is the same with the rubber ‘gasket’ for the top of the radio aerial on my S124 , it comes in two pieces and I lost the outer piece , probably in the car wash .

Prices range from €15-€30 , but then there is always a postal charge of at least as much again , for something that weighs a few grammes and would go in a small padded envelope

Here’s an example

Have you tried the dealer ?

Just a daft thought …

Have you tried putting the nozzle of your vacuum cleaner over the hole , it might either suck it back over to the hole so you can try the pliers again , or if it does get sucked into the vacuum cleaner , you can recover it from there ?

The other ones that famously go missing are the solid rubber feet for the jacking points under the car

Have you tried fishing out your old one with a piece of thin stiff wire with a large radius hook on one end?....worked on our A169 when I accidently pushed it in whilst trying to refit it after the boot flooded a while back! Took a while but felt great when I got it.
